What better on a balmy sunny summer evening in July than the quiet click of croquet balls. This was the experience of thirty members and friends at an evening hosted by High Wycombe Croquet Club recently.

We had an informal tournament using a reduced version of the full croquet rules with each pair of players playing four games, each with different opponents. Each game was supported by a croquet club member to advise on the play (and adjudicate on rules disputes!)

To keep thee energy of the players high, a supply of pizzas was delivered, allowing the players to take a break and boast about their successes (not many) and reflect on their failures(rather more).
